The sculk jaw is a block found randomly in the deeplands, echoing forests, and blooming caverns.

Obtaining

The sculk jaw can be mined with any tool, but the hoe is the quickest. It drops itself when mined with Silk Touch.

Natural generation

The sculk jaw is randomly generated in the deeplands, echoing forests, and blooming caverns biomes.

Usage

Stepping on a sculk jaw makes the entity lose 4 experience points and take 3 ( ) bite damage. Additionally, the block will lose its collision and the entity inside it will take 3 ( ) bite damage every tick, with no experience being lost.

When there are no entities inside or on top of the sculk jaw, it will stop biting and return to its idle state.

Notes

• Sculk mobs do not trigger the sculk jaw. Walking into it from the side also does not trigger it.

Tips

• Bite damage can be reduced by wearing armor. However, the amount of experience points lost upon walking into it remains the same.
