Troubleshooting for SkyrimVR - Kvitekvist/FUS GitHub Wiki

ROOT Clearing Error

image

Solution:

  1. In MO2, Press the Jiggsaw icon, then choose Root builder >> Clear
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the modlist, find the mod named "overwrite", right click on it and choose "Clear Overwrite".
  3. Done. You can now play the game.

Continue reading to learn why this happens.

  1. You pressed unlock when MO2 was running. Don't press unlock. This prevents files from being placed into and removed from the skyimvr folder, causing boot issues.
  2. The game crashed. If the game crashes then the cleanup step is skipped, and files that should be cleaned up are not. This can cause issues if you then disable mods that placed files in the skyrimvr.
  3. There are conflicting files in the Overwrite folder If you enabled a mod like upscaler (DLAA, DLSS, FSR), Reshade, opencomposite, ENB (not supported by FUS), and maybe others, then these mods could place files in the overwrite folder. Meaning that if you for example disable opencomposite, then opencomposite files could remain in the overwrite folder which is allways active. When you boot, these files will be loaded and it could cause a crash \ boot fail.

Color Looks Off

I will show to different pictures below to help explain.

Virtual Desktop (VD)

  • There is setting that is typically enabled that may change the color scheme for your game slightly.
    • It is The COLOR VIBRANCE option. Understand we are not saying it is bad, this is PERSONAL PREFERENCE. I, prefer it off as to me it gives an unnatural tone. This is more so you are informed outside factors could be changing your visuals outside of our list.
  • Further discussion with the VD folks revealed it is something almost every hmd does and each do so differently, though, VD allows you to disabled it for further user preference.

Download Issues

image

Following image is usually 100% due to not being in English:

image

This is a common issue some of you may come across. We have a few solutions:

  • Ensure Skyrim is set to ENGLISH (as per the preparing PC instructions)
  • Log out of Nexus and back in through Wabbajack: Look for the gear in top right corner
  • Ensure your drive has enough space
  • Ensure your install folders are correct (see preparing PC for the modlist)
  • You may need to install from the disk:
    • Head over the the code section and click on releases(towards mid right of page) download and extract to wherever you want.
    • Run Wabbajack and select instal from disk. Set your list location to wherever you extracted your fold(the wabbajackfile is inside that so ensure you select the actual wj file and not a folder)
    • Select where you want the list to be installed and our downloads
    • Profit
  • You may need to manually download the mods - Be sure to download the correct version we use (may need to ask in our discord as there are multiple versions and it is hard to remember which on it is exactly)
  • Do not forget the number 1 rule of IT: Restart it. Restart WJ, if still unsuccessful, Restart computer. Sometimes it just works

  • Sometimes your Firewall could be blocking something so make sure you set exceptions(google can help with that I don't know what antivirus/firewall you are using)
  • Rarely, but possible, is you are being blocked by your ISP. A VPN will usually solve this one.

I can't Fast Travel!?!

  • This could be caused by Sunhelm, the simple survival mod we include, there is a setting in its mod menu that disables fast travel. Disable that disabler and you can fast travel whilst still having your survival stuff for yuh immersion. Thanks to Ninjabee in our discord informing us on that on!
