Messages Configuration

Below are all of the messages you can edit within Blep Fishing, and descriptions for each.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

  • ALL Messages must be contained within quotation marks, ex "Message"
  • Color Codes are supported! For a list of color codes, refer here.
  • Multi-line text is currently not supported

Messages.yml Sections

Fish Object:

value:

Default: "&2Value: {curr}{cost}"

The message that will appear on the "Value" line in the lore for Blep Fish

{curr} - The Placeholder for the currency symbol, set in the config.yml here.

{cost} - The Placeholder for the Value of the fish.

length:

Default: "&8Length: {size}in."

The message that will appear on the "Length" line in the lore for Blep Fish

{size} - The Placeholder for the fish length.

caught:

Default: "&8Caught By: {player} on {date}"

The message that will appear on the "Caught" line in the lore for Blep Fish.

{player} - The Placeholder for the Player's Username.

{date} - The Placeholder for the date the fish was caught.

announce:

Default: "You just caught a {rarity} {fish}&f!"

The message that will appear to players upon the catch of a Blep Fish

{rarity} - The Placeholder for the Rarity of the fish.

{fish} - The Placeholder for the Fish Name.


Treasure:

open:

Default: "&bRight-Click to &e&oOpen"

The lore on a Casket providing instructions on how to use them.

result:

Default: "You found {item} &finside the {casket}&f!"

The message a player will receive after opening a Casket

{item} - Will return what item the player received.

{casket} - Will return with the name of the casket the player opened.

noEcon:

Default: "Unable to open Casket. You would have found currency but no economy was found."

The message a player will receive when attempting to open a casket, in which the result was money, when economy is not set up.

bottle:

Default: "&dMessage in a Bottle"

The name of the Message in a Bottle item.

letter:

Default: "&fCrumpled Letter"

The name of the Crumpled Letter item, received from opening a Message in a Bottle.


Tournament

Type:

description:

Default: "Catch the {type} {fish} to win!"

The description of the current tournament running, seen by players

{type} - The Placeholder for the type of tournament running.

{fish} - The Placeholder for the Fish Name.

largest:

Default: "Largest"

The type description for the "Largest" Tournament type.

smallest:

Default: "Smallest"

The type description for the "Smallest" Tournament type.

expensive:

Default: "Most Expensive"

The type description for the "Most Expensive" Tournament type.

cheapest:

Default: "Cheapest"

The type description for the "Cheapest" Tournament type.

score:

Default: "Best"

The type description for the "Highest Score" Tournament type.

amount:

Default: "Most"

The type description for the "Most Caught" Tournament type.

noneCaughtItem:

Default: "No Fish Caught Yet"

The message that appears in situations where no fish have been caught

newBest:

Default: "{player} just took the top spot in the {tournament}&f with a {rarity} {fish}!"

The message that is broadcasted to the server when a player takes the lead in a tournament.

Can be toggled on/off with Announce New Winner: True in Tournaments.yml.

allFish:

Default: "Fish"

noneCaught:

Default: "No {fish} were caught before the tournament ended, no rewards have been given."

The message broadcasted to the server when a tournament ends with no qualifying participants

start:

Default: "The {tournament} &fFishing Contest has begun!"

The broadcast sent when a tournament is started

leaderboard:

Default: "&l-- Tournament Leaderboard - Hover For Info --"

The top line in the tournament leaderboard chat

noRewards:

Default: "You do not have any rewards to claim."

The message sent when a player attempts to claim rewards with /bf claim with no rewards available.

claimRewards:

Default: "You have {amount} rewards left to be claimed!"

The message sent to players notifying them of unclaimed rewards.

claimRewards2:

Default: "Type &b/bf claim &fto receive them!"

The second line of the message sent to players notifying them of unclaimed rewards.
