Result

Example #1 - animation Example #2 - tiled layers

Usage

  • Select the part of image which you want to animate or don't select anything to use currect layer
  • Optionally you can use Color>Colorize to check which values you should choose
  • Choose plugin from menu: Filters>Krzysiu>Animate hue...
  • Set your settings or rely on default

Preferences

  • Steps - number of generated layers.
  • Minimum and maximum hue - the smallest and biggest hue value (0-360), change it if you don't want "rainbow animation" (i.e. all hues)
  • Animation step and speed type - either frame delay or total time of animation. In second case, with e.g. 20 steps and 2000 ms animation, it will automatically count that one frame takes 100 ms.
  • Saturation and Lightness - same as in Colorize built-in dialog
  • Animation type - combine or replace; if you don't post-process layers, it mostly won't have impact at all
  • Reverse animation - allows to create backward animation (e.g. hue 150-90 instead 90-150)

Known limitations

  • Your imagination is the limit!
