Layering Multiple Resource Packs

You can combine multiple resource packs to create a customized experience:

  1. Place all desired packs on the right side in the resource pack menu
  2. Arrange them in order of priority (higher = higher priority)
  3. Packs higher in the list will override textures from packs lower in the list

Optimizing Resource Pack Performance

If you experience performance issues when using resource packs:

  1. Open video settings (Options → Video Settings)
  2. Adjust Mipmap Levels, Details, and Animations settings
  3. If using OptiFine, explore additional performance options in the Quality and Performance menus
  4. Consider using lower-resolution versions of packs if available

Custom Texture Adjustments

Item Texture Priority

SkyBlocks+ allows you to customize which resource pack textures take priority:

  1. Open NEU configuration (/neu)
  2. Navigate to "Custom Textures" → "Resource Pack Priority"
  3. Arrange resource packs in your preferred order

Disabling Specific Textures

If you prefer to use vanilla textures for certain items:

  1. Open NEU configuration (/neu)
  2. Navigate to "Custom Textures" → "Texture Settings"
  3. Toggle off specific texture categories you wish to keep vanilla

Troubleshooting

Missing Textures

If items appear with purple/black checkerboard patterns:

  1. Verify the resource pack is properly installed
  2. Check if the pack is compatible with your Minecraft version
  3. Try moving the pack higher in the priority list
  4. Reload textures with F3+T

Performance Issues

If you experience lag or stuttering:

  1. Reduce the number of active resource packs
  2. Lower your Minecraft video settings
  3. Allocate more RAM to Minecraft if your system has available memory
  4. Try disabling animated textures in OptiFine settings

NEU Integration Issues

If NEU custom textures aren't working:

  1. Open NEU settings (/neu)
  2. Go to "Custom Textures"
  3. Make sure "Custom Textures" is enabled
  4. Try toggling "Use NEU Item Textures" on/off
  5. Run /neuupdate to refresh texture data

Creating Your Own Textures

Advanced users can create their own textures:

  1. Explore the NEU custom texture folder (.minecraft/config/notenoughupdates/repo/items)
  2. Create textures following the 16x16 or 32x32 format
  3. Place custom textures in the appropriate NEU directories
  4. Use /neuupdate to apply your changes
