- If using OptiFine, explore additional performance options in the Quality and Performance menus
- Consider using lower-resolution versions of packs if available
Custom Texture Adjustments
Item Texture Priority
SkyBlocks+ allows you to customize which resource pack textures take priority:
- Open NEU configuration (
/neu
) - Navigate to "Custom Textures" → "Resource Pack Priority"
- Arrange resource packs in your preferred order
Disabling Specific Textures
If you prefer to use vanilla textures for certain items:
- Open NEU configuration (
/neu
) - Navigate to "Custom Textures" → "Texture Settings"
- Toggle off specific texture categories you wish to keep vanilla
Troubleshooting
Missing Textures
If items appear with purple/black checkerboard patterns:
- Verify the resource pack is properly installed
- Check if the pack is compatible with your Minecraft version
- Try moving the pack higher in the priority list
- Reload textures with F3+T
Performance Issues
If you experience lag or stuttering:
- Reduce the number of active resource packs
- Lower your Minecraft video settings
- Allocate more RAM to Minecraft if your system has available memory
- Try disabling animated textures in OptiFine settings
NEU Integration Issues
If NEU custom textures aren't working:
- Open NEU settings (
/neu
) - Go to "Custom Textures"
- Make sure "Custom Textures" is enabled
- Try toggling "Use NEU Item Textures" on/off
- Run
/neuupdate
to refresh texture data
Creating Your Own Textures
Advanced users can create their own textures:

.minecraft/config/notenoughupdates/repo/items
) - Create textures following the
16x16
or32x32
format - Place custom textures in the appropriate NEU directories
