Setting up recording parameters

Open OmniPlex Server and PlexControl and click "start data".

Go to "SPKC-Continuous" and double click on the channel you'd like to change the threshold for detecting spikes for. Go through all channels and change the threshold as needed.

The settings can be saved as .pxc file so that it can be pulled up the next time you record.

Recording laser stimulation times as a digital event

Plug in one of the BNC cables to TRIG+ port of the laser control pad so that the start of the laser stimulation times will be recorded under one of the events-

To monitor the signals in real time while recording with "PlexControl", go to the "SPK - Activity" window and scroll down until you see the ones that begin with "EVT"; they should show up there.

When recording is done, close off PlexControl first before exiting OmniPlex Server.
