User Interface - Kosudo/nextSIS GitHub Wiki
nextSIS will be designed with a variety of Web-based technologies, and is primarily intended for use on desktop and large-screen mobile devices. Small-screen mobile devices such as smartphones really require a separate interface and there is no pressing demand for this type of access in our experience. It is something we could develop after version 1.
It is highly likely that tablet-based computers are going to be frequently used, which means that the design of the system should support touch-based interfaces. Generally this just means that we need to ensure that links and various user interface components are never so small as to be difficult to select and manipulate.
Because nextSIS is open source and other schools may use it, it should be possible for them to change the colour-scheme of the application and incorporate their own logo.
As we are an international school, we want to design it to support multiple languages and regions, for example by allowing date formats and currency information to appear in a way chosen by the user.
Summary
