KG Transit

KG Transit is a separate module and a good one on its own: build a rail network on any scene, with stations, lines, themes, ride interiors and fares, and let your party ride it.

Get it: github.com/KonteiKeisei/kg-transit. In Foundry's Install Module, paste its manifest URL:

https://github.com/KonteiKeisei/kg-transit/releases/latest/download/module.json

It is also made to work directly with KG Cities. On a city scene, it does the setup for you.

What it adds to a city scene

  • The real rail network, applied by itself. The first time the GM views a city scene, KG Transit sets up the city's known transit and turns it on: the real lines in their real colours, every station in its real place, transfers where lines meet, and tunnels, elevated track and bridges where they really are.
  • The right era. A 1986 scene gets the network as it ran in 1986, with the station names of the time and the fare of the time. Later lines and stations are left out.
  • No scale to set. City scenes are at real scale, so ride times are right from the start.
  • Still yours to edit. Rename, recolour, add or remove stops as with any network. Reset to city network puts the original back.

Airports and flights

  • Airports on the map: each city's 1986 airports are drawn in violet, terminals and the airfield's edge, with an "Airport" card.
  • Book a flight: as GM, click an airport. Choose who flies (a Whole party button picks everyone), choose a destination city and then its airport, and see the 1986 fare, the time through the airport and the flight time. Fares can be waived or paid from the riders or the party.
  • The flight: a cinematic of the plane's side profile, buffeted by the weather, with the cabin in a small window. It runs in real time by default, with a time multiplier (the clock and weather speed up, never the animation) and Skip to encounter and Skip to landing for the GM.
  • Encounters: pick a scene and when it happens (at the departing airport, before takeoff, in the air, after landing, or at the arriving airport). The flight pauses there until you click Continue flight.
  • Arrival: the destination city scene is made (or reused) behind the cinematic, the weather is rolled for the new city, and the view ends on the party at the new airport.

KG Transit requires Calendaria. Fares and party features use the dnd5e system.
