This repository contains the competitive multiplayer map "Edge" designed for 2-4 players in the original Quake game.

Edge provides an ebb and flow between moments of high action and brief periods of resting to recuperate before diving straight back into heavy, free-for-all action.

Edge has an emphasis on focal points to quickly help players learn the layout of the map so that only the core mechanics of gameplay decide the winner. Desirable positions that have a lot of high ground or powerful weapons will be left vulnerable to attacks from many sides by using little or no cover. Players in otherwise disadvantageous spots will be given resources needed to control these contentious points.

Edge uses a crypt-like dungeon theme to make the sharp stone corners feel natural. Clever usage of cover and edges lets players outmaneuver and outplay their opponents by rapidly changing positional advantage. Weapons like the Nailgun and Grenade Launcher excel in these environments and make movement a critical factor in a player's ability to come out on top. High risk, high speed, high reward.
