In some cases, HDMI cards can go offline and need resetting. Below are steps for how to reset them into a working state.

  1. Navigate to the d3 installation folder: C:\Program Files\d3 Production Suite\build\msvc\

  2. With no items selected, hold shift and right-click inside the folder and select "Open command window here".

    a. Or open command prompt and type the following command:

    cd C:\Program Files\d3 Production Suite\build\msvc\

  3. Type the following command into the prompt:

    d3utils.exe -hdmifix and hit enter

This will issue a reset command to any HDMI VFC cards connected. The cards will come back online after a few seconds.
