Installing Blender

Blender runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Step 1 — Download

Go to the official website: https://www.blender.org/download/
Choose the version for your operating system.

Step 2 — Install

Windows

  1. Download the .msi installer.
  2. Double-click the file to start the installation.
  3. Follow the setup wizard instructions.
  4. (Optional) Use the ZIP portable version to run Blender without installation.

Step 3 — Launch Blender

Open Blender and verify that the default startup scene appears — a cube, camera, and light.

Step 4 — Optional Settings

  • Enable automatic updates:
    Edit → Preferences → System → Check for Updates
  • Adjust language and keyboard shortcuts under Edit → Preferences.
