Concept ‐ Why is this wiki - KimTanSeo/blender GitHub Wiki
Welcome to the experimental blender wiki!
Concept
Why is this wiki?
Blender doc is well written - isn't it?
Blender documentation is written entertainingly and enganging. It is certainly understandable even for non-native speakers.
Reading as a non-native
But I had to think twice with this one:
- How to 'coarse'?
- What is 'daunting'
- Do I 'grasp'?
Simpler but more enganging?
Simple English vs An Entertaining Read - a trade-off?
What must be sacrificed, what has to give for the goal to make it easier to understand for non-natives? Is there a trade-off between comprehensibility and entertaining readability?
Experimenting with ASD1000STE
The idea is to review Blender's documentation to make it easier to understand for non-native English speakers. The standard that follows will serve as guidline: ASD1000STE – Simplified Technical English.
