As the test version is not published in Windows Store, you will need to side load the app. To complete this process, you will need to follow these steps and acquire developer license along the way if you don’t already have it installed on the target machine. You will need a Microsoft Account to acquire a developer license.

  1. If a previous version is already installed, please remove by:
  • Go to Start screen and select Khan Academy tile by swiping downward (right click if using mouse).
  • Tap on Uninstall and confirm to uninstall on following screen.

  1. Download and unzip the app package on the target machine. Don’t double click the zip file instead unzip using "Extract All" option from the context menu.

  2. Right click on Add-AppDevPackage.ps1 and click on "Run with PowerShell".

  3. This will start the installation process using PowerShell prompt. If you are installing for the first time, follow prompts during script execution. If you do not have developer license on the target machine, you will be prompted to acquire one.

  4. After certificate installation, the app package will be installed and confirmed. You can run the app from Start screen.
