Introduction

These rules, guidelines, and SOPs (standard operating procedures) seek to provide players with clear and direct guidelines for how to best jump in, play your character, and create great experiences for the community to relish. The moderators and admins reserve the right to mute, kick, or ban anyone that violates the rules (spirit or wording) at their discretion.

💡 Note: This is a living document. These are always under review and may be updated at any point in time. The server admins/moderators will inform the community of any edits.

Primer

This document is broken into three major parts: Rules, Guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). These exist to show what is required of players, what is encouraged or expected from players, and what is expected of their chosen role.

Rules - The established, hard rules of GS13. These are things which must be followed by everyone. The rules in place here are intended to maintain an enjoyable, welcoming, and supportive space for everyone. Violating rules will likely result in some sort of administrative action, ranging from warnings to bans.

Guidelines - Common behaviors which are expected of many players, but are not required. Disregarding guidelines aren’t typically grounds for any sort of admin intervention, but someone who routinely disregards multiple guidelines may be approached about their behavior and asked to make adjustments for the continued enjoyment of everyone else.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) - A job-by-job expectation of duties which are different for every departmental position on station. SOPs ensure that those taking on jobs are actually fulfilling them. Violation of SOPs can result in administrative action ranging from warnings to job bans. While it isn’t required to know the SOP for every single department, you must know the SOP of the department you’re working in.
