Economics was my first interest, going back to when I got my degree in 2012.

My interest is rooted in helping poor people be less poor (see raison d'agir). Economics is the study of how value in all forms is handled on a social basis. Thus, for effective help for anyone lacking access to "value" (poor people), we need to attempt to understand as best we can how value is created, measured, perceived, destroyed, etc.

In addition to effecting how I vote and participate politically, economics are key to informing volunteer actions, as well as career and business strategy in all capacities.
