Logging In

  • ftp <user>@<domain>, then password
  • binary - Work with binary files
  • ascii - Work with text files
  • hash - Show # for each KB downloaded
  • prompt - Toggle download prompts

Commands

  • Prepend ā€œlā€ or ā€œ!ā€ to your commands to run them locally (lcd, lls)
  • get <file_name> - Download
  • get <file_name> - - View
  • newer <file_name> - Update your local file
  • reget <file_name> - Resume a broken download
  • runique <file_name> - Download to a unique file name
  • mget <file_names_or_patterns> - Download multiple files
  • put <file_name> - Upload
  • mput <file_names_or_pattern> - Multiple upload
  • quit - Logout
