Part 3::The Body - KeynesYouDigIt/Knowledge GitHub Wiki
The domain of the body
Churchhill, high energy dude, LOVED rest, creative time, humor, etc.
Churchill was HUGE on routine** and LOVED hobbies (brick laying, art). let the body and mind focus on something that ISNT your "main thing". ** the war screwed this up, but he tried hard to maintain it. His "lost decade" prepared him for this?
Say No
Overconfidence sucks, retreating can be good. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabian_strategy Say no! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wu_wei
Take a walk
TONS OF scientists, philosophers, ceos, took lots and lots of regular walks. good for brain and body. Especially Kierkegaard!!! mah boi
Do it in nature!! https://www.growwilduk.com/blog/5-simple-steps-practising-shinrin-yoku-forest-bathing
build a routine
KILL decision fatigue and distractions by making routines! superstitions are NOT superstitions if they help you focus and have psycologoically focusing/calming impacts! Athletes and Mr Rodgers LOVe this stuff. Churchill did too when he could.
If it were superstition, would I still do it after I lost?

Get rid of your stuff
Diogenese was an example -- We must CONSTANTLY question if we own things or if they own us. Give stuff away. do not fret over it.
Stuff, when depended upon, are more borders to defend, more points of personal failure, etc.
Seek Solitude
Time alone and in reflection is POWERFUL. not just meditation, but active, solo, silent mind wanderings. Do it till your a tad uncomfortable, and keep doing it.
“If solitude is the school of genius, then the crowded, busy world is the purgatory of the idiot.”
- Edward Gibbon

Be a human being
its a tragedy that the japanese actually have a term for Karoshi - death from overwork. thats insane and sad.
In a way, this is the difference between ego and confidence. Can you truest yourself enough to keep a reserve? Can you protect inner peace and stillness to win the longer marathon of life?
Work will set you free

Human Being. not Human Doing.
Go to Sleep
Sleep is insanely important, its a medical fact. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dov_Charney#Los_Angeles_Apparel lol ^^
Find a hobby
RH lists an INSANE list of hobbies that great people practiced. Churchill, predecessors, athletes, ballers, good stuff. A Hobby is chosen intentionally and should contain some challenge. An Escape is Not chosen intentionally and is nearly mindless.
Beware escapism
Intention, not action, is the difference between leisure/hobbies and escapism.
Tune in, dont tune out. Be here, present, and relaxed, dont be distracted for fun.
Act Bravely
DO GOOD STUFF.
ON the Final Act
RH doesnt say much here except to not avoid the thought of death.
