Leadership - KeynesYouDigIt/Knowledge GitHub Wiki
Leaders should use an opposing relationship/execution stance of their culture, according to researcher Angelo Kinicki. If the culture already provides something, the leadership doesn't. Over time though, the leader's stance trickles down through the organization and overcorrects, so the leader has to shift stances.
"When you impose a 'should'-- as in, 'I should be X in 5 years time' -- you create an attachment to that outcome; the attachment limits your ability to sense when reality is not going in that direction, or when other possible opportunities arise that might conflict with what you first set out to achieve." - Brian Robertson
"Also, you will find it very difficult to drive others' behavior on the basis of targets defined in advance." - Brian Robertson
