If you're running into problems, try the fixes below.

Game Crashes on First Launch

Fix:

  • Just try opening the game again. Some setups need a second attempt.

If that doesn’t help, move on to the next step.

Game Crashes on Launch

Fix:

  • Make sure you’ve allocated 3–4 GB of RAM (see How to Add RAM for help).

Still having issues? Send the latest.log or crash report to the modpack Discord or GitHub issue tracker.

Game Crashes After Updating the Modpack

Fix:

  • Open the instance folder (click the three dots in the launcher, then "Open Folder").
  • Go to the essential directory and delete the loader folder.

Still crashing? Upload the latest.log or crash report to the issue tracker or open a discussion here on GitHub.

Low fps or Lag While Playing

Fix:

  • Remember to install Optifine. A guide can be found on the Modrinth page under How to Install Optifine (Manual Installation Required).
  • Due to Optifine's licensing, it cannot be included in the modpack and must be installed manually. Optifine improves performance and enables custom Skyblock textures.

Still lagging? Upload your latest.log to the issue tracker or start a discussion.

Stuttering or Lag While Playing

Fix:

  • Allocate more RAM (3–4 GB is usually enough) (see How to Add RAM for help).
  • If your PC has more than 8 GB of RAM, use 4 GB for the game.

Still lagging? Upload your latest.log to the issue tracker or start a discussion.

Stuttering When Playing Dungeons

Fix:

  • Try allocating 4 GB of RAM if your system has more than 8 GB total (see How to Add RAM for help).
  • Disable the Dungeon Guide mod and test performance.
  • If that helps, consider using Dungeon Rooms as an alternative (it's not as detailed, but lighter).
