The following figure visualizes the functionality of KIM during the first iteration.

In the initial situation, the machine has to be activated manually in order to produce the drink. Now the beverage request is simply addressed by voice, recognized by Amazon Echo, transferred to the coffee machine where the beverage is generated.

Media break The previously existing media break has been eliminated by no longer having to activate the coffee machine manually but by addressing the beverage request directly to the coffee machine. However, there is still the media break that the beverage does not appear immediately, but only on demand.
