Gateway

Direct Connection

• Device is internet-caple and using the IP protocol.
• Direct communication of platform-services with the device.

Messaging

• The exchange of messages is based on the push principle.
• The message exchange is triggered by the sender.
• Amazon Echo receives voice input.
• Amazon Echo is IP-based connected to the IoT platform and delivers input to Process Engine, which transmits the request to the beverage machine.

Data transport

• The data transport is sporadic.
• Data is delivered according to consumers' consumption.
• Few data is exchanged when the Amazon Echo is addressed.
