Introduction
Revo Launcher is an app that lets you customize the way your phone looks, with powerful themes and icon+banner animations.
Keep in mind it cannot and will not execute any copyrighted game or app. This app is just a visual gimmick, and contains absolutely no proprietary software code.
First view
The first thing you'll notice about the app is the Main Menu. It contains a total of 4 grids, with 8 channel slots in each. When you open Revo Launcher for the first time, they're filled with 5 different, default channels.
If you click any of the channels, it'll show the banner animation. And, by clicking the "Start" button, it'll open the linked app.
Keep in mind that all of the pre-existing channels already open a related app (contacts, gallery, etc...).
Add new channels
In order to add a new app to your channel, hold a blank space:
- Once the popup opens, you'll have to choose the app linked to the channel (the one that will open when you start it)
- Next, you have to choose the Icon animation. This is the animation that appears in the main menu, in the channel
- If you know nothing about these animations, it's recommended you choose any of the Default ones (since they'll show the app's logo).
- You can learn more about animations in here.
- Finally, you need to choose a Banner animation. This is the animation that shows up when you open a channel, in the big screen.
And you're done!
Main menu controls
- If you use 2 fingers on a channel, you can move it and even delete it.
- Clicking the left / right arrows will change the grid
- Clicking the Wii button will lead to the settings and the animation editor
- Mail button:
- A single click will open your favorite messaging app
- Holding it will let you change your messaging app
Make Revo Launcher my default launcher
Wii Phone is ready to be used as your default app launcher, if you wish to do it. For that, click the Revo button, and then "Revo Launcher" -> "Set app as your launcher".
Keep in mind that, after being installed and clicking the Home button for the first time, Revo Launcher will also appear.
However, there's a bug with Unity, that will make the app crash if you try to set it as launcher this way.
The only proper way to set the app as launcher is through the in-app option.
