How to Install Mods

Most mod files for Code Vein are usually in .pak format.

However, if you've downloaded a mod from NexusMods, it probably came in a .zip or .rar.

In which case to get the .pak mod you will need to extract the .zip or .rar archive with 7zip or WinRar. Either will work.

Once you have the .pak file, you will need to locate your Code Vein installation directory. If you installed through steam it will be in the \steamapps\common\CODE VEIN folder of your steam install, which for most users is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\CODE VEIN

Once there, navigate to the \CODE VEIN\CodeVein\Content\Paks\ folder.

This is where you will create a folder named ~mods if you do not already have one.

Now, copy your .pak mod into the ~mods folder and relaunch the game.

If you are having trouble installing a mod, you may ask in for help in the #mod-installation-help channel of the Discord.

Please do not message mod makers asking for help installing their mods unless you are certain there is a problem with the mod itself.
