We have explored three models using the simulator. Modeling of the TE loads ...

• using Dolgin & Charlesworth model
• using different mitotic and meiotic transposition rates
• with a presence of general modifier allele in yeast genome

All three models share some fixed parameters:

• number of chromosomes: 16
• number of loci per chromosome (potential TE slots): 500
• high recombination rate during sex: 5.4 (modeled as Poisson distribution)
• constant population size: 100,000

The parameter choice was vastly based on empirical observations of transposons in yeast.
