Setting up an organization

When setting up an organization Amazon will ask for an account creation

In this case, I went with Champ_root for the username, set the password, and tied the account to my email, making me the root user.

Next, it will ask for contact information and billing information.

Since this is a test organization, I still created the org to be associated with Champlain
The billing information will not be shown in the documentation but it is just like adding a credit card to any other payment system.

Organization

Once the setup is complete, the organization's foundation will be created.

Inviting members

To invite a member, you will need to navigate to Organization > Invitations

In this case, I invited my team through their existing Champlain College emails.

After the invitation is sent, they have to accept and they will be able to start working.

Creating OUs

For this, select the OU that is created and select the action Create new

Once the OU is created, it will show up under the root OU

You can add users either IAM or existing account users
