What is Direct Access?

Microsoft DirectAccess is a remote access technology included in Windows Server operating systems that enables remote users to securely access resources on an organization's internal network over the Internet.

With DirectAccess, remote users can securely access internal network resources, such as file shares, intranet websites, and internal applications, without needing to establish a virtual private network (VPN) connection. DirectAccess establishes a secure, always-on connection between the user's device and the organization's internal network, providing the user with the same experience as if they were working in the office.

How cyber.local will use direct access

Cyber.local actually will not use Direct Access. This is because there is an updated service called Always On VPN which functions very similarly but has improved security and performance.
