Knights of the Wild are a special order of Paladin/Rangers who follow a nature deity and revere nature but also strictly follow the code of a Paladin. They mix divine and nature magic to accomplish their goals of defending nature and even learn to call forth a strong animal companion to help them defend it.

Spellcasting: At each level, a knight of the wild gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if she had also gained a Paladin and a Ranger level. Unlike normal paladin or ranger levels, these are full spellcasting levels (not cut in half) so that a 4 Paladin/4 Ranger/22 Knight of the Wild has a caster level of 24 (28 with practiced caster) in each class.
-
Favored Companion: A Knight of the Wild adds his class level +1 to his effective druid level to determine the capabilities of his animal companion. A Knight of the Wild who only has Ranger and Paladin levels will have a companion level equal to that a druid.
-
Wilderness Fervor: If you have the Protective Ward feat, it treats Paladin and Knight of the Wild levels as Ranger levels.
