Installing Diablo II 1.13c

  1. Make sure you do not have a Diablo II folder in your program files. Downgrading does not work after any version higher than 1.14b (bnet uses 1.14d). If you do have a Diablo II folder in your program files please delete it or rename it to something else.
  2. Download 1.13 Installer. Comes with Original/Expansion installers. Must have a valid key to install. Can be banned cd key from bnet. Just needs to be a valid key.
  3. Install Original/Expansion to C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II
  4. Run 1.13c Patch file. LODPatch_113c
  5. Set Diablo II shortcut target to run in windowed mode
    Right click Diablo II - Lord of Destruction.
    Go to properties.
    Set target to be
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" –w
    Hit apply
  6. Set Diablo II compatibility
    Right click Diablo II - Lord of Destruction.
    Go to properties.
    Go to Compatibility tab.
    Check run program in compatibility mode for:
    Drop down menu choose
    (Windows XP Service Pack2)
    Check box that says run this program as an administrator.
    Hit apply

You are now on 1.13c

Set Slash Diablo as default gateway by using the Gateway Editor

  1. Download Gateway editor
  2. Open the editor, click on “diablo2/diabloexp" at the bottom
  3. Click add gateway
  4. Enter server info

Name: Slash
Zone: -6
IP: play.slashdiablo.net

  1. click OK, Click on it and then hit Set to Chosen Gateway or ALT+C

Set Slash Diablo as default gateway by Replacing the registry file Easiest option

  1. Download .reg into Diablo2 folder
  2. run file

Installing Multibox

Download any of the multibox tools
d2gfx dll or d2ex are the easiest
Take the file that is downloaded and drop it into the Diablo II folder.
Overwrite the old file.
You should be able to double click diablo II shortcut as many times as you want now.

  1. Choose what version you would like to use.
  2. Download files
  3. Unzip files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II
  4. Right click BH.Injector. Go to properties. Go to Compatibility tab. Check box that says run this program as an administrator.
