NEED STATEMENT

A mall in Huballi is facing a shortage of human labour to clean the floor. They wish to automate this process by installing floor cleaning bots in the mall.There is a need to design a robot which helps in maintaining cleanliness in the mall.

PROBLEM DEFINITION

Design a semi-automatic cleaning system, which is able to clean the given area, it should be portable, user-friendly, it must be light weighted and should utilize less time to clean. The machine must not be more than 1.5 ft x 2.5 ft x 3 ft in dimensions, must work for a minimum of 3 hours continuously and cost of the machine must not exceed Rs.3000. The machine must detect obstacles and store the collected dust and garbage.
