Watery Sphere
- Level: 4th-level conjuration
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 90 feet
- Components: V, S, M (a droplet of water)
- Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
Description: You conjure a sphere of water with a 10-foot radius at a point you can see within range. The sphere can hover, but no more than 10 feet off the ground.
- Effects:
- The sphere can engulf creatures:
- Creatures within the sphere’s space must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be restrained by the sphere and trapped inside it.
- A creature can use its action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC to escape.
- Up to four Medium or smaller creatures can be restrained at a time by the sphere. If the sphere restrains fewer than four creatures, one Large creature can be restrained instead.
- At the end of each of your turns, the sphere moves 30 feet in a direction you choose (as long as you maintain concentration).
- The sphere can be destroyed by dealing at least 30 damage to it.
- The sphere can engulf creatures:
Movement:
- The sphere can be moved by you up to 30 feet in any direction as part of your action.
Environment:
- The sphere extinguishes nonmagical flames within 30 feet of it.
Notes:
- If the sphere restrains a creature and moves, the creature moves with it.
- If the spell ends or the sphere moves out of the spell's range, it collapses and releases any creatures it restrained.
