Forms and Effects:
Primal Beast
- Physical Enhancement: You gain the following benefits:
- Walking Speed: Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
- Darkvision: You gain darkvision with a range of 120 feet.
- Attack Rolls: You make attack rolls with advantage using Strength-based weapon attacks.
- Damage: Your melee weapon attacks deal an extra 1d6 force damage on a hit.
Great Tree
- Defensive Enhancement: You gain the following benefits:
- Temporary Hit Points: You gain 10 temporary hit points.
- Constitution Saving Throws: You make Constitution saving throws with advantage.
- Dexterity and Wisdom Checks: You make Dexterity and Wisdom-based attack rolls with advantage.
- Ground Cover: While you are on the ground, the ground within 15 feet of you is difficult terrain for your enemies.
Components:
- Verbal (V): The spell requires only a spoken incantation.
Strategic Applications:
- Primal Beast Form: Ideal for melee combatants who want to increase their mobility and damage output while gaining the ability to see in the dark.
- Great Tree Form: Excellent for defensive or support-oriented roles, providing extra hit points and making it harder for enemies to move around you.
Limitations:
- Concentration: The spell requires concentration, meaning it can be disrupted if you take damage or cast another concentration spell.
- Self-Targeting: The spell only affects the caster, so its benefits cannot be shared with allies.
Notes:
- Guardian of Nature offers versatile options depending on the needs of the situation. Choose the Primal Beast form for aggressive combat or the Great Tree form for defense and area control.
- The ability to cast this spell as a bonus action makes it particularly effective for quickly adapting to changing combat conditions.
- This spell is a great choice for druids and rangers who often find themselves in the thick of battle, providing both offensive and defensive options.
