College of Whispers: Masters of Secrets and Shadows
“Bards of the College of Whispers are not mere entertainers; they are manipulators, spies, and puppeteers, weaving their dark magic to control and exploit those who underestimate them.”
The College of Whispers teaches its bards to blend into society, using their charm and skills to gather secrets and manipulate those around them. Often viewed with suspicion by other bards, these “whisperers” disguise their true nature, infiltrating courts and circles of power to further their own ends.
Features of the College of Whispers:
- Psychic Blades (3rd Level):
- Imbue your weapon attacks with insidious magic, dealing extra psychic damage by expending Bardic Inspiration. This damage increases as you gain levels.
- Level 3: Deal 2d6 extra psychic damage.
- Level 5: Increases to 3d6.
- Level 10: Increases to 5d6.
- Level 15: Increases to 8d6.
- Imbue your weapon attacks with insidious magic, dealing extra psychic damage by expending Bardic Inspiration. This damage increases as you gain levels.
- Words of Terror (3rd Level):
- Infuse your words with subtle dread. After speaking to a humanoid alone for at least one minute, you can attempt to frighten them with a failed Wisdom saving throw, leaving them terrified of you or another creature of your choice.
- Level 3: Frighten a humanoid after a one-minute conversation, lasting up to one hour.

- Capture the shadow of a dying humanoid within 30 feet of you. This shadow can be used to adopt the deceased’s appearance and knowledge, allowing you to impersonate them for an hour with an almost flawless disguise.
- Level 6: Capture and use a dying humanoid’s shadow to disguise yourself as them, gaining access to their memories and persona.

- Whisper dark magic into the mind of a creature, forcing it to confront its deepest fears. On a failed Wisdom saving throw, the creature is charmed and convinced that you know its most mortifying secret, compelling it to obey your commands.
- Level 14: Whisper a phrase that taps into a creature’s deepest fears, charming it into believing you know its darkest secret and compelling it to obey your commands.
