Development Roadmap

IDApTIK evolves in structured phases, ensuring mechanics are tested, refined, and stress-tested before moving forward.

Envelope (v0.1) – Minimum Viable Game

This revision aims to produce the first playable version of Gitpoint (potentially with a new name) as a TypeScript platformer, establishing the foundation of its gameplay loop and asymmetric mechanics.

Goals for Envelope (v0.1)

βœ… Core platforming mechanics – Movement, jumping, crawling, object interaction.
βœ… Basic hacker-player interactions – Opening doors, timing elevators, activating security overrides.
βœ… Game documentation in wiki pages – Clarifying mechanics, controls, and gameplay flow.
βœ… First set of sprite artwork – Enough to convey essential mechanics visually.
βœ… Devlog for Envelope (v0.1) – Tracking progress and setting up next steps for Wheel.

Upcoming Development Phases

Wheel – Refining Core Movement & Interaction

  • Improving stealth responsiveness, collision handling, and precision controls.
  • Expanding hacker capabilities: security loop manipulation, timed overrides, sabotage elements.
  • Early AI behaviors for environmental hazards and dynamic detection.

Skateboard – Deepening Asymmetric Multiplayer

  • Larger level structures with multi-phase infiltration objectives.
  • Developing more hacker-based control systems, moving beyond static activation toggles.
  • Refining communication elements between infiltrator and hacker.

Bicycle – Expanding Strategic Depth

  • Adding AI-led countermeasures that react dynamically to player interference.
  • Implementing level designs that encourage problem-solving through cooperation.

Chassis – Strengthening Interactive Complexity

  • Improved environmental mechanics: terrain effects, sound sensitivity, player misdirection tools.
  • Testing first non-linear infiltration missions, encouraging multiple paths of entry.

Motorcycle – The Full Experience

  • Expanding sabotage mechanicsβ€”rogue hacker interference and adaptable security AI.
  • Perfecting emergent gameplay interactions that create tension dynamically.
  • Final multiplayer framework for high-stakes asymmetric infiltration.

Computer Game – Beyond Proof of Concept

  • Once the core experience is complete, transitioning into polished, expanded iterations.
  • Strengthening gameplay adaptability based on contributor feedback and structured testing.
