Players will be able to collect both procedurally generated weapons (which are used strictly for combat), and defined pieces of equipment (which are used strictly for utility).

Weapons

Weapons will exist in one of three quality tiers and cannot improve across those tiers, but can be upgraded and modified within their respective tier.

Equipment

These items are unique, are not procedural, and are not used as weapons but as abilities to aid in navigation. These can be leveled up once or twice in a linear fashion.

Potential Equipment Ideas

  • The ability to shrink to access small areas.
  • Gravity inversion.
  • Hookshot.
  • Gravity boots - gives the player the ability to switch gravity on and off. Could be used to float over a pit or to turn gravity off float high then switch it back on to create a shockwave when you hit the ground. Probably late game as switching off gravity would grant access to most of the map.
  • Gotta add a time freezing ability eventually
