Options Menu ‐ All Options and their Functions - JordanSantiagoYT/FNF-JS-Engine GitHub Wiki

Hello! Because I've seen several people ask me how the options work, or what they do, here's a complete list of everything in the Options menu and what each thing does.

Note Colors

Self-explanatory. You can customize the colors of each individual note in 3 parts: the fill, the outline, and the glow. Pressing R will reset the color of the currently selected part to default. Holding SHIFT while pressing it will reset the entire note.

You can press CTRL to change the color of the Pixel Notes.

If you're using the Quant-Based note color style, you can customize the colors of each quantization beat up to 1/6144!

Controls

Allows you to change the keybinds for.. well, everything in the game!

Adjust Delay and Combo

Allows you to change the note hit offset, and the offset of the combo/rating sprites.

Graphics

Low Quality - Disables background details if enabled.

Anti-Aliasing - Makes visuals look more smooth. Disabling this increases performance, but will make visuals more sharp.

Shaders - If unchecked, shaders will not be used in any song.

GPU Caching - If checked, the game will cache textures to your GPU instead of the CPU, decreasing RAM usage. (Not recommended for bad Graphics Cards)

Auto Note Spawn Time - Makes the notes' spawn time relevant to the scroll speed.

Note Spawn Time - Spawn time multiplier for the base spawn time (default is 1.5s).

Resolution - Self-explanatory.

Framerate - Self-explanatory.

Optimizations

Chars & BG - If unchecked, the characters and background will not be loaded.

Enable GC - Toggles the Garbage Collector. This is responsible for freeing up RAM not being used by the program.

Light Opponent/Botplay/Player Strums - If any of them are unchecked, the strums will not light up depending on which options are turned off.

Show Ratings/Combo Numbers/MS - Toggles whether or not the game should show the combo numbers when hitting notes.

Disable onSpawnNote/Hit/Skip Lua Calls - If any are unchecked, disables the respective lua calls for each function.

Even LESS Botplay Lag - If enabled, the game will entirely skip spawning any rating sprites, and hold splashes will never trigger.

Max Rendered Notes - Changes the max amount of notes that the game can visually display on the screen. Setting this to 0 will remove the limit.
