Mendix Price

One App

image

The One App plan is ideal for businesses needing a single application, with pricing applied per app, making it suitable for startups or focused solutions.

Free Plan (€0/month)

The free plan is ideal for individuals or small teams wishing to discover Mendix. It offers agile project management and collaborative development, enabling users to work together efficiently on small applications. However, some business-critical features are missing. There's no Project Dashboard, which means teams won't have a centralized view of their application's progress. In addition, the private marketplace is not available, preventing the sharing of internal components and models.

From a deployment point of view, the free plan is limited to Mendix Cloud, and all applications run on a shared database, which is not necessarily suited to managing complex data structures. Another major limitation is the lack of horizontal or vertical scalability, making it impractical for growing businesses. Support is entirely community-based, meaning users have to rely on forums and documentation for troubleshooting. What's more, there is no uptime guarantee, so applications can suffer unexpected downtime with no service level agreement.

Despite these constraints, the free plan is an excellent starting point for learning Mendix, experimenting with low-code development and testing small-scale projects without any risk.

Basic Plan (€52.50/month)

The Basic plan is designed for small workgroups who need more stability and features than the Free plan provides. One of the biggest upgrades is the inclusion of the Project Dashboard, which allows teams to track progress and collaborate more effectively. Like the Free plan, it still provides Mendix Cloud deployment with a shared database tenancy, but it offers a more reliable experience with a 99.5% uptime guarantee.

A major advantage of the Basic plan is that users receive official Mendix support from 9 AM to 5 PM, significantly improving issue resolution compared to relying solely on the community. However, some business-critical functionalities are still missing. There is no private marketplace, meaning companies cannot create their own repositories for internal app components. Additionally, scalability remains limited, as horizontal scaling, multi-region failover, and dedicated cloud support are unavailable.

This plan is perfect for small teams who need a stable development environment with professional support but do not yet require enterprise-grade features such as scalability and cloud customization.

Standard Plan (€900/month)

The Standard plan is tailored for organizations that require department-wide business applications with more control over their infrastructure. Unlike the Basic plan, which relies on a shared database, the Standard plan introduces dedicated database tenancy, ensuring better security, performance, and isolation from other Mendix users.

One of the key enhancements is the ability to use up to four environments per app, including separate environments for development, testing, acceptance, and production. This structure allows businesses to follow a robust software development lifecycle, making deployments safer and more structured. The plan also includes an Ops Dashboard and IDP Integration, which provides deeper insights into application performance and allows integration with Identity Providers (IDPs) for authentication and access management.

Scalability significantly improves with vertical scaling, enabling applications to handle increased workloads without performance degradation. Additionally, the Standard plan introduces support for private and dedicated cloud deployments, giving businesses more flexibility in where they host their applications.

Despite these benefits, some advanced enterprise features are still absent. Multi-region failover, horizontal scalability, and advanced infrastructure controls are only available in the Premium plan. The support remains limited to 9 AM - 5 PM, meaning businesses that require round-the-clock assistance might need to consider upgrading.

The Standard plan is best suited for organizations looking for greater performance, security, and scalability while maintaining cost-efficiency. It’s ideal for business-critical applications that demand structured deployment environments and dedicated database resources.

Premium (Custom Quote)

The Premium plan is the ultimate solution for enterprises that need mission-critical performance, full customization, and the highest levels of availability. This plan includes everything in the Standard plan but introduces fully flexible environments, allowing businesses to tailor infrastructure and deployment settings to meet their specific needs.

One of the biggest advantages of the Premium plan is high availability and failover (HA/Fallback), which ensures that applications remain operational even in the event of hardware failures or outages. Multi-region failover is also included, meaning applications can be deployed across multiple geographic locations to optimize performance and provide redundancy.

The Premium plan enables horizontal scalability, which means applications can scale out dynamically to handle large numbers of users and requests across distributed systems. This is critical for businesses that need to support a growing customer base without performance degradation.

For businesses that require advanced infrastructure control, this plan provides 3 full customization over deployment settings, allowing organizations to fine-tune security, networking, and infrastructure resources.

Support is significantly enhanced, with 24/7 premium support, ensuring that businesses have immediate access to assistance at any time. Additionally, Mendix offers an industry-leading 99.95% uptime guarantee, making this plan ideal for businesses that cannot afford downtime and need the highest levels of reliability.

Unlimited App

The Unlimited Apps plan allows organizations to develop multiple applications under one subscription, making it the best choice for enterprises and teams managing multiple digital solutions efficiently.

Free Plan (€0/month)

This is useful for those who want to test different ideas, prototype multiple applications, or work on various personal projects without switching accounts. However, the Free plan still has the same limitations as the One App version:

  • Shared database tenancy
  • Mendix Cloud-only deployment
  • No uptime guarantee
  • Community-based support

Since the Free plan is already free, the biggest advantage of Unlimited Apps is simply that users can work on more than one app at a time without needing to create separate accounts for each.

Standard Plan (€2,100/month)

With the One App version, companies can develop only one application with dedicated resources. However, the Unlimited Apps Standard Plan allows businesses to develop multiple applications under the same pricing structure, making it a cost-effective option for organizations needing multiple internal or customer-facing applications.

What Unlimited Apps Adds to the Standard Plan:

  • Multiple Applications Under One Subscription: No need to purchase a separate Standard plan for each application.
  • Shared Dedicated Infrastructure for All Apps: Instead of having one dedicated database per app, businesses can share the dedicated infrastructure among multiple applications.
  • Cost Efficiency: Companies building more than two applications will save money compared to buying separate One App Standard plans.

Despite these benefits, the Unlimited Apps Standard Plan still does not include features such as multi-region failover, horizontal scaling, or HA/failover, which remain exclusive to the Premium plan.

Premium Plan (Custom Quote)

The One App Premium plan is designed for mission-critical, high-availability applications, but is still limited to a single application. The Apps Unlimited Premium plan removes this restriction, enabling companies to develop, deploy and manage multiple high-performance applications under a single plan.

What Unlimited Apps adds to the Premium plan:

Companies can create and manage as many applications as they need, while benefiting from Premium-level infrastructure and support.

Each application can benefit from horizontal scalability, high availability (HA/failover) and multi-region failover, guaranteeing overall performance and redundancy across multiple applications.

Instead of paying for a separate Premium plan per application, companies can consolidate costs into a single plan, which is much more economical for companies managing multiple applications.

Companies can fully customize their infrastructure for multiple applications, making the Premium Unlimited plan ideal for businesses that need total control over deployments, security and scalability.

This plan is the best choice for businesses with complex IT ecosystems that require multiple high-performance applications with enterprise-level security, uptime and customization.
