Armadillo is a modified second life client. Its eventual aims are to allow immersive interaction with Virtual Worlds. Currently what has been implemented is the ability to move around in the Virtual World using the Kinect. This movement is done using the exact same code from the movement demo. The movement demo was used to refine the parameters and then they are plugged into the Second Life client with minimum code.

A video of Armadillo being demonstrated is availabe here. You can download Armadillo here. To run it unzip the folder and run "Armadillo.exe". Armadillo was compiled for 32bit windows 7. It has only been tested in Windows 7 32bit and 64bit. The source code is not currently available but will be released in the future.

Controls:
Go Forward : Hand level with shoulder and push toward the Kinect.
Turn Right : Lean Right / Twist shoulders right.
Turn Left : Lean Left / Twist shoulders left.
Fly Up : Raise right arm above head (superman style).
Fly Down : Point right arm down and slightly forward. (Fully down will be ignored)


Mouselook : Raise right elbow to be in line and on a level with both shoulders.

Look Up : Raise right hand.
Look Down : Lower right hand.
Look Left : Bring right hand left.
Look Right : Bring right hand right.
