  1. Get the AGPtek Super USB Cassette Capture tape deck from the shelves.

  2. Plug it into a type-A USB port on the computer.

  3. Click on Menu -> Sound & Video -> Audacity. The Audacity program should start.

  4. Look for the microphone symbol. Just to the right is a drop down list of audio sources. Choose USB PnP Audio Device : Audio (hw:1,0): CD:0.

  5. Examine Audio rate and other settings. When happy, hit Audacity's record button.

  6. Press Play on the tape deck. You should visibly see the waveform during recording.

  7. Save the file from Audacity to your favorite USB drive.
