Function Description

Once Tap Anywhere is enabled, a bottom sheet will appear after selecting text, offering several actions:

  1. If you've configured a brief dictionary under the Dictionary Group for the floating window, you'll see the definition of the selected word displayed there.

  2. Tap on the brief definition to view more detailed information in the floating window.

  3. Tap the app icon on the left side of the bottom sheet to open the full entry in the main lookup window.

  4. Tap the AI Lookup icon on the right side of the bottom sheet to perform an AI Word Lookup.

How to Enable Tap Anywhere

  1. Open the Settings page in the DictTango app.

  2. Tap Dictionary Settings.

  3. Scroll down to the Tap Anywhere section.

  4. Enable the Tap Anywhere feature.

How to Configure the Brief Dictionary

  1. Open the Dictionary Group settings.

  2. Tap the group labelled with the Floating tag.

  3. Select the Brief Dictionary option.

  4. Tap Select Brief Dictionary.

  5. Choose the dictionary you want to use.

Important Note

If you're unable to enable Accessibility access:

  1. Go to DictTango's App Info page in your phone's system settings.

  2. Tap the More icon (usually three dots in the top-right corner).

  3. Select Allow restricted settings.

  4. Then, return and enable the Accessibility permission.

This permission allows DictTango to detect selected text and display dictionary results from any app. As it may involve accessing sensitive data, please enable this setting with caution.
