Hotkeys - JetSetIlly/Gopher2600-Docs GitHub Wiki
Your computer keyboard can be used to control the state of the emulation. We call these hotkeys
. Actual input to the emulated console is described elsewhere.
The first group of hotkeys will work in both play mode and the debugger.

In the Debugger the Esc
key has a special operation that causes the run state and the capture state of the emulation to be toggled simultaneously. This is useful when wanting to move the emulation forward and to issue user input.
The final hotkey switches between the playmode and the debugger. I'll describe
this key as the key below the Escape key
.
What this key is differs from keyboard to keyboard - in the UK it is the back tick
key; while on US keyboards it is the tilde
key; and on the standard
German T1 keyboard it is the degree/circumflex key.
If using a hardware game controller like an XBox360 controller, the guide
button can
be used to switch modes.
