Future Updates and Ideas
I'd like to start off that not all of these or maybe none of these ideas will make into BOMD + DA, they are by all means just concepts I've had and other areas to fill the gaps of.
-
Knight of Dark. I love my knights and all that, so I had an idea for another. Basically something similar to the Bloodhound Knight from Elden Ring. Specifically the one trapped in an Evaorgoal in the beginning. I was thinking that for this fight, you can only fight the boss during night time and summon it during night time. Now the Knight of Dark would NOT pause the world time, so the fight is essentially a race against time. I would like the knight to be fast, but unlike the Knight of Burning Flame, the Knight of Dark relies heavily on teleporting and phasing out and in of existence. I'm thinking the difficulty for this would be something of Knight of Burning Flame or even harder (aorund the Night Lich's difficulty). However if I do plan on bringing it to that high of a difficulty I'd like it to be locked behind maybe defeating one of the other bosses.
-
Tower Giant. I'm thinking of another tower, however it'll be an area boss, so it'll permanently be spawned in until defeated. Basically it'll be a giant atop of the tower with a Ballista. It'll shoot its ballista causing havoc where the bolt lands. Upon getting close to the tower, the giant will drop off and hit the ground initiating the fight with a giant. Items that can be crafted could be like a miniature version of its sword (but giant to the player) and maybe something like that with the ballista. basically, super slow big damage dealing weapons, and maybe a buff item like a giants roar or something.
-
Hellion Devil. A demon that uses cloning techniques to trick players. Similar to the Illusioner but a bit more interactive such as the demons act on there own. maybe some marking on there head to tell the difference, or maybe different colors on there heads to represent the level of the clone. maybe no mark means the clone can't do damage or be hurt, while ones with a yellow insignia can do damage but can disappear in one hit. using techniques, the devil is more a trickster magic caster.
-The indefinitive one. A model I made awhile back, basically it'll be a demi-god in best of terms. the boss will wield an assortment of weapons and use multiple magic types. Definietly has end game boss levels of attacks and combos. dungeon could be found in the sky, maybe the boss gatekeeps end portal creation or something of that nature? To start the boss you'll need to insert 4 different boss drops acquired from the other BOMD + DA dungeons.
Goals of the Mod
Below are some highlights of what the mod aims to do.
-
Flesh out the world with intricate and unique structures, each having a dedicated boss to them. Not every one of them needs to be a dungeon crawl, but atleast a boss and some items to be gained from it. I would like the default spawning of these structures to be placed in a way or hit a certain spot that manny other mods don't touch. ie. Rotten Hold being an early game specific dungeon. The Frozen castle being a snow dungeon. the Burning Flame Arena being a Nether dungeon.

Items (particularly weapons) should fit a playstyle or goal in mind in what they can be used for, things like the Void Dagger, even though its an early-mid game item. It can still hold up to some of the later game stuff such as the Knight of Burning Flame for its fast style of attacking and the Poison affects that boss. Or another option being the opposite counterpart, the Champion's Axe. With its slow swing, half of its damage pierces armor also making effective against the Knight of Burning Flame

Bosses that bring style and life to minecrafts progression.
Porting to Future Versions
I've been slow on the progress, but yes I do plan on porting to future versions with this project. Cutting out things like the Void Blossom realistically is gonna be the only thing. While renaming and giving the Night Lich a new structure. Porting will go full force once the mod is complete, essentially in 2 more content updates. Initially the plan is porting to 1.20.1 Forge, and from there switching to NeoForge following that version.
