Brainstorming - JayThomason/Tutti GitHub Wiki

From our need finding, we learned several key points, which we needed to keep in mind in our brainstorming:

  1. People would be interested in an app to allow users to easily share music while driving in the car.

  2. The most important things to people are simplicity, ease of use, and ability to share music from multiple devices.

  3. People do not want clutter, i.e., up/down votes, mood-based playlists, random playlist generation, gamification, sharing on social media, etc.

Keeping these in mind during our brainstorming, we came to an important conclusion. Our app would be better as a TOOL, rather than as a game. People don't care about having all sorts of bells and whistles on the app. They just want it to be easy to use and do what it's supposed to. We followed up this intuition by doing some crowdsourcing. After asking many people of different ages/genders their opinions, all of them had the same view that we did. We created a preliminary mockup of what we thought our app would look like:

In addition to the mockup, we outlined our v1 spec.
