Mac OS X

1. Download the disk image containing the application.
2. If the disk image does not automatically mount and open then double-click it.
3. Copy the Neuroptikon application to your hard drive, typically the Applications folder.
4. Copy the sample scripts folder to your desktop or other easy to find location.
5. You can now eject the disk image and throw it in the trash.
6. Double-click the copy of the application you made to start using Neuroptikon.
7. If you ever want to uninstall Neuroptikon then simply drag your copy to the trash.

Windows

1. Download the installer.
2. Launch the installer and follow the instructions to install Neuroptikon.
3. If you chose not to launch Neuroptikon at the end of the installation then you can launch it via the Start menu under Programs -> Neuroptikon.
4. If you ever want to uninstall Neuroptikon then choose "Uninstall Neuroptikon" from the Programs -> Neuroptikon group in the Start menu.

If Neuroptikon fails to launch on Windows with an error message about Microsoft.VC90.CRT not being found then you will need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package.
