RATools is a standalone executable designed to assist developers of the retroachievements.org community. It's primary purpose is to provide a scripting language for achievement development.

Setup

1. Download the executable from the Releases page.
2. Unzip it anywhere
3. Launch the RATools.exe executable
4. Open the File > Settings dialog
   • Enter your username in the User Name field. This will be used to associate local achievements to your account. Achievements uploaded to the server will be associated to whatever account uploads them.
   • Add one or more directories to the Emulator Directories list. These directories should each have an RACache subdirectory (do not select the RACache directory). When loading a script, one of these directories will be selected to write changes to when using Update Local.
