Main Conditions
Macular degeneration
- Vision loss occurs in the center of the eye.
- Vision can be blurred or fully lost in the center.
Cataracts
- Vision becomes blurry all over.
- "Cloudy vision".
Glaucoma
- Vision loss from the outer edge inwards.
- Progressive loss.
- Tunnel vision.
Stroke
Diabetic retinopathy
- Dark spots floating in person's vision.
- Blurred vision.
- Dark/empty areas in person's vision.
- Random portions of the eye become blind.
Potential Conditions
Double vision
- Vision appears as if the object in focus is moving side to side very quickly, thus leaving an object "shadow".
- Similar to putting pressure onto one eye.
Starbursts/glare
- Sensitive to light.
- Bright lights can cause blur and 'lens blur' type problems for the eye.
Colour vision
- Refer to Colour Blindness Section
