Context

• I've mostly been focused on editing the N57 text, but I wanted to start a check-list of sorts to ensure that everything makes it into the text:
  • Ensure that the list of Mbh > 3 billion is complete
    • Should we consider only stellar dynamics, or include any measurement over 3 billion? For exampel NGC 4751 has a 1.4e9 solar mass black hole using stellar dynamics, but >3e9 Msun when using ALMA CO data here.
    • Running list of galaxies to add to the environmental diagnostics:
      • NGC 708
        • 39 group members, logMp = 14.466
      • NGC 997
        • 3 group members, logMp = 13.043
      • NGC 383
        • 29 group members, logMp = 14.442
      • NGC 4751
        • Only appears in the low density contrast catalog (same as N57)
        • Has 183 members in the LDC group, with logMp = 15.365
  • Decide on what galaxies we'd like to include in the M-sigma plots (currently showing the data from Emily's paper)?

Figs 3 and 4

• Potential Plans to Move Forward:

  • Might make the most sense/be most straightforward to try to track down r_b/sigma measurements for the galaxies that appear only in Mbh > 3e9 list and add those to the M-sigma figure. That way the M-sigma is still roughly representative, and all of the galaxies that appear in our environmental plot also appear in the scaling relations plots, but not necessarily the other way around.
  • For those galaxies, I was able to track down:
    • NGC 315
      • rb = 0.346 kpc from Matthew's CFHT-HST fits;
    • NGC 708
      • rb = 0.829 kpc (extremely bad fit) from Matthew's CFHT-HST fits
    • NGC 1277
      • Was not able to find a Core-Sersic rb measurement
    • NGC 5419
      • rb = 0.430 kpc, from https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2016MNRAS.462.2847M/abstract
