meeting 2025 07 31 n57 - JacobPilawa/TriaxSchwarzschild_wiki_6 GitHub Wiki

Context

  • WORK IN PROGRESS STILL! But wanting to get some plots posted ASAP.
  • Cleaning up some plots, tracking down some information from last time, and trying to wrap up other loose ends.

Plots

Radial Moments Fixing

  • We wanted to try to play around with the radial moments plots, hoping to show a bit of the GMOS-->Mitchell transition region.
Case 1 Case 2 Case 3 (log scaled, all data)

V(R, Theta) Fixing

  • I also tried to combine the small radial shell in the V(R, theta) plot. I think I managed to get a decent binning scheme (sort of by hand) that gets nice "rings" of apertures for the velocities:

Figure 1 Combined Version

  • With the corrected V(R, theta), we wanted to try to reformat Figures 1 and 2 into a single 2x2 figure showing the DATA ONLY (since we already have the data vs. model comparison in the radial moments Figure).
  • Here's my attempt at this updated Figure:
