meeting 2025 07 21 n57 - JacobPilawa/TriaxSchwarzschild_wiki_6 GitHub Wiki

Context

  • Cleaning up some loose ends from last time, gathering some information, revising some plots.
  • Some random notes/thoughts/information:
    • r_b = 0.430 kpc quoted in the paper is from Matthew CFHT Core-Sersic fits. I had done a similar IMFIT fit to the data which can be found on this page in the November 30, 2021 bullet.

Some new plot attempts

  • Here are some updates to the figures we have in the text following some suggestions/some of our discussion from the last meeting.
One Sided Radial One Sided Radial + Mitchell Log Scale
  • Following the better binning (bottom of the page), here's an updated Figure 1:
Velocity/PA Map
  • And an updated take on Figure 2:
Data + Model Data Only
  • Scaling relations:
Data from Emily's H15 Paper
  • Surface brightness vs. Thomas+2016 similar figure:
N57 Thomas+16 N1600 Paper
  • And diagnostics for the rebinned V(R, Theta) data:

Grouping
  • A sample spectrum plot:
