- Started doing some preliminary MGE fitting and background information gathering for these two galaxies.
- Note that both of these MGEs are poorly fit. These MGEs are constructed from the sky-subtracted, neighbor-subtracted versions of BOX (which is also what Charles seemed to have used for all his work). You can see the residuals of the two galaxies in the MGEs/images below where one was subtracted from the other.
- Again, I've done our usual MGE fitting (unregularized) for a few different bounds on sigma (0,1,2,3,4) pixels from the center:
- I'll make sure to re-run this with regularization turned on so that we can examine the distribution of q' values.
- Note that the PA returned is 48.9 Left of Up (need to correct based on HST orientation).
- This converts to 56.056 E of N
