meeting 2024 05 24 n315 - JacobPilawa/TriaxSchwarzschild_wiki_5 GitHub Wiki

Context

  • Not a lot new here but collating results/important information for us to discuss here.

Plots

  • First, here's a potential remade Figure 1 for the MGE choices. I think the key here is we want to distinguish between Model A/B2/B3, and I think the deprojected 3D density seems to show that well:

  • CFHT vs. HST Fit Comparison:
    • I also tried one version where I integrate the surface brightness profiles assuming spherical symmetry to get a sense of the enclosed light for the CFHT vs. HST data:

Carryover From Last Time

  • Below are a few plots I had on the previous bullet just for completness here/to avoid flipping between pages.

  • Straightforward enough, but I swapped from quoting rho0 to M15:

GMOS + Mitchell Combined Maps

  • As we did for N57, I wanted inset the GMOS data map onto Mitchell just for a better sense of the large-scale kinematics:

CFHT + MGE Comparison

  • I've also tried comparing the MGE fits to the Sersic fits that Chung-Pei had passed along. Note that these are arbitrarily scaled to match what's published in Jonelle's paper/Matthew's work:

Spectra Plot

  • Tried to add a bit more spectra to a "final" version of the plot:
